About Me

Hello there! 👋 My name is Dimitris. You can also call me Jim. Either works.

I'm a Business Administration major who specialized in Health Care Management. I speak 3 languages fluently (Greek, English & German) and I also know a bit of Japanese — do not quote me on that one.

I was never really sure which path suited me best, so I tried multiple ones before becoming a software developer. I've worked in logistics, sales, management, marketing and even e-commerce store administration. I'm grateful for the things I learned, but nothing really drew me in long-term.

In the last decade, I've spent many hours learning to edit pictures and videos (Photoshop & Premiere), along with analysis and marketing. I've learned about digital marketing, SEO, web development, cyber security and many more equally helpful skills.

Eventually I decided to combine all of those skills into one and make my dream a reality: becoming a software engineer. I dedicated a whole year to learning how to code and how to debug. Now I help other people bring their ideas to life.

Hobbies

When I am not programming, I fill my days with things I enjoy doing.

One of those is music. I'm a guitar player and singer! I'm by no means a professional, but I would definitely do great at a house party.

Something else I really enjoy is photography. I wouldn't call it a passion of mine, like programming or music, but I'm always trying to learn new things and improve my photography game. Do check out my Instagram if you'd like to see what I'm talking about.

Lastly, I enjoy a bit of gaming. Life has caught up to me so playing games isn't a priority any more, but I'll play some chess whenever I get the chance.
